Years and years ago we developed TPE (thermoplastic elastomer/ rubber) phone cases for, what was then the best phone out, the nokia 6110. The inspiration was to make it like a pirelli tyre. We were a few years too far ahead of the market and the business bombed. Cool to see the idea having come the full circle.
