Rubik’s Cube + Pantone = Rubitone

Ignacio Pilotto, an Argentinian designer has come up with this clever pantone/rubiks cube.

it is very Jeff Noon-ish to mix things up like this… just not nearly as grungy as Noon.

I love it… imagine mixing the Optimus Maximus (not the transformer, silly… the keyboard - link) OLED technology with this idea… having sides that blend together the colours on the borders….

OR even better! the blocks switch colours with other blocks randomly…. but once the side is complete it won’t jump… so you have a race against time to get it right. and you can just shake it up to mix up the blocks again…

the unit could trickle charge on a charger pad like a toothbrush does… and you could program it via bluetooth.

Even better! you could do it with no moving part… when you spin a face the colour just change…
