i use the bookmarklet to download my youtube. You simply click on the bookmark and it adds a download button right in your page. advantage here is you can save the file as .mp4.

just add a kiss in before the “y” of youtube and press enter. eg. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6IyLwvKALik becomes http://www.kissyoutube.com/watch?v=6IyLwvKALik
then save it as .flv file. Robert is yer mums brother
